Wait List Process
There is no fee to place your child onto our wait list. As spaces become available, they are offered to families in the following order:
- Currently enrolled children in the centre
- Siblings of currently enrolled children of UofT students, staff, faculty and post doctoral fellow
- Children on the U of T waiting list: students, staff & faculty and post doctoral fellow
- Children on the Federated/Affiliated College waitlist
- Community waiting list.
The waitlist is arranged by your child’s last name. There is no number placement on the waitlist. However admission into the centre from the waiting list is based on a first come, first served basis and the age of the child at the time of admission.
We filter the waitlist for the age range that we are looking for (i.e. toddler age for a toddler space) and only then do we arrange those selected families in order of their registration date. We then contact families by email and request a reply within 48 hours.
Please note: we will allow one space refusal within a two-month period on either side of the request of care date on the registration form. If space is refused a second time your name will be removed from the waitlist. Opportunities to re-apply will be offered at the second refusal.
